Selling shellfish

Once your shellfish is ready for sale, you need to transport it to the market in chilled conditions. 

When selling shellfish, you need to:

  • Comply with marketing law.
  • Keep financial records of your sales and accounts.
  • Pay income tax on your profits.
  • Recall produce if a food safety problem is identified in your supply after sale.
