Seed mixtures
If you want to sell seed mixtures, you must follow specific regulations: Animal & Plant Health Agency’s Technical Standard Supplements
Vegetables
You can sell mixtures of different varieties of lettuce or radish in packages of maximum 50g seed, and vegetable seeds can be included in fodder mixtures.
Packaging
Packaging must be done in the presence of a certified seed sampler.
You will also need commercial scales to weigh your produce and comply with legal rules around packing and weight of the produce.
Labelling
Certified seed must be labelled with official labels which are ordered through SASA. For small packets of seed (under 15kg) and vegetable seed, you can make your own labels as long as they include the required information and do not fade.
Check the information you need to provide in vegetable seed labels.
