Women in Agriculture Scotland are looking for passionate, enthusiastic individuals with fresh ideas, different experiences and the confidence to bring their voice to the table as WiAS builds its next committee.

There’s no such thing as a “typical” WiAS committee member! Whether your world is farming, food, rural business, education, finance, communications or something completely different, your skills, experience and perspective could be exactly what’s needed.

Over the past year, WiAS has worked hard to make positive changes that bring real benefits to members, create more opportunities to connect and strengthen the support it provides. It’s also been building stronger relationships and collaborating with fellow organisations across the agricultural and rural sector — because more can be achieved by working together.

WiAS wants a committee that truly represents the incredible diversity, talent and strength of everyone across Scotland’s agricultural and rural community.

Bring your ideas.
Share your voice.
Help create real change.

How to apply

Send a photo and a short bio, including why you’d love to join the committee, to womeninagriculturescot@gmail.com by 8pm on 14 October 2026.

New committee members need two current WiAS members to propose and second their application — but don’t let that hold you back! If you’re excited about getting involved but aren’t sure who to ask, get in touch and WiAS will help you through it.

This is an opportunity to bring your experience, make new connections, challenge the committee with fresh thinking and help take WiAS forward.
