The Scottish Smallholding and Countryside Festival Appoints Wallace Currie as Official Event Ambassador

The Scottish Smallholding and Countryside Festival (SSCF) is delighted to announce that Wallace Currie, the popular agricultural content creator known as @rural2kitchen, has joined the 2026 event as an official Ambassador.

As the festival continues to grow as Scotland’s premier event for smallholders, growers, and country enthusiasts, the partnership with Currie marks a significant step in connecting traditional rural skills with a modern, digital audience.

Bridging the Gap from Farm to Fork

Wallace Currie has built a dedicated following by documenting the realities of Scottish farming and rural life. His “rural2kitchen” brand perfectly encapsulates the festival’s ethos: celebrating local produce, sustainable land management, and the journey of food from the field to the dinner table.

“We are thrilled to have Wallace on board” said Martin Beard, the Chair of Smallholding Scotland, who run the event. “His energy, authentic voice, and passion for Scottish agriculture resonate with exactly what our festival stands for. Whether you have fifty acres or a window box, Wallace’s knack for making rural living accessible for all is a huge asset to our growing community.”

Wallace adds “I am proud to be an Ambassador for the Scottish Smallholding & Countryside Festival, celebrating the diversity, resilience and innovation across rural Scotland. From smallholders to producers, this event shines a light on the people behind our food and countryside, bringing communities together to share knowledge, skills and passion”.
